The Jibe Core is a SASS suite composed of candidate experience products aimed at the enterprise market for employment and recruiting. An integral part of the experience is the Landing Page that a candidate will encounter when discovering the career section of the client's site. The Landing Page is designed to connect with the candidate and guide them into the job search and apply flows.
Problem
Create a Career Site product that can include a variety of Landing Pages with a
UX that successfully balances ease of scalability with unique customizations.
Approach
The team mapped both client-type and desired job applicants to Personas which were utilized to craft a system of archetypal landing page templates, which mapped customizable content “bricks” to persona values within each template. The major challenge was in figuring out how to provide a uniquely-branded, on-trend experience for each client that was both “turnkey” and scalable. A balance was found between setting a base-level quality of UX that is widely applicable while simultaneously having options for customization that allow the brands to express themselves independently and distinguish between conservative enterprise clients and edgier, mid-market clients.
Impact
The new product was designed and shipped within 2 months. The concept was immediately validated by a very large enterprise client who bought the product before it was completely developed, based on prototypes alone.
UX Discovery Artifacts
In order to solve the problem of how to create a scalable product that could be "turn-key" and also "highly customizable" a solution was devised that relied upon modular landing pages that could be adjusted easily to account for client content preferences. These were also anchored to specific personas, and these concepts are outlined in these UX artifacts.
Widget Library Creation
In order to create the various potential widgets that clients could utilize to contain content on their landing pages, a UX research project was conducted to discover what types of widgets were used typically on other career sites.
Prototype: Wireframe
Wireframe of template for an “archetype” landing page design, mapped to a specific client sector.
Prototype: Visual Design
Visual Design for “Fast Casual” dining client persona.
Product Deployment
The first two implementations of the LP CMS system were extremely successful. The process of implementation unfolded seamlessly, with reduced need for internal Client Management services and a measurable increase in engagement and conversions for the client. Shown here are two examples of design for Mobile for various clients.
Design Iterations
Here are 6 iterations of the Landing Page concept as well as the original client implementation with branded content in the right rail. As the right rail was eliminated from the core design, there was simultaneously a renewed client desire to incorporate more content. This led to the evolution of this product.
